Lawmaker confident of marriage's chances in Vermont

Although Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas has threatened to veto a marriage bill being considered by the state's House, out state Rep. Jason Lorber said he believes the measure has a strong change of becoming law. "We need to just stay focused on getting this bill passed," Lorber said. "We're certainly disappointed with the governor, but we need to do the right thing. Anytime you try to override a governor it's a big challenge] -- but I believe we can do it." GayPolitics.com
